Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices.

The Information We Collect
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Japan-America Society of the Tennessee website. On some pages, you can become a member, make a donation, and register to attend events. The types of personal information collected at these pages are:

When you use the public areas of our website, you are doing so anonymously.
The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when conducting a transaction to complete that transaction only. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete your request.
We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive and to send Japan-America Society of Tennessee information and announcements. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with those outside of our staff and membership. You may opt out of Japan-America Society of Tennessee information and announcements by sending an email to the Japan-America Society of Tennessee with your name, email address and "Unsubscribe" in the subject line.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described.

Refund Policy
Event/Program Fees
Requests for event or program fee refunds must be made in writing (email is okay) at least 5 business days prior to the event or program. Please allow 4 - 6 weeks to receive the refund.
We reserve the right to make the fees for a specific event or program non-refundable. This condition shall be clearly written on the registration form for each event or program to which it applies.
Membership Dues
Membership dues are non-refundable.
Donations to Japan-America Society of Tennessee, Memphis Japan Festival, Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival or other programs are non-refundable, but are tax deductible to the extent allowed by federal law.
Media Materials
The Japan-America Society of Tennessee reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at a Japan-America Society of Tennessee event without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. The Japan-America Society of Tennessee may use the photograph/video in online or written publications or other media material including, but not limited to, brochures, posters, magazines, websites, etc.
To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information.
Anyone who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer and/or the event organizers. By failing to notify the photographer and/or event organizers, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify the Japan-America Society of Tennessee from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.
