Clint Bailey from Englewood in McMinn County will study Linguistics and Religious Studies at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Clint is passionate about learning languages, and he enjoys learning about new cultures. He started a linguistics club at his high school and led his school’s first ever language club. Clint speaks Spanish and Irish Gaelic, and he hopes to study Japanese at UT. After he graduates from UT, Clint would like to be a professional interpreter and help others learn new languages. |
Kayla Loftus, from Gallatin in Sumner County, was Station Camp High School’s Class of 2024 Valedictorian. Kayla is attending the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she will study Business Analytics at the Haslam College of Business and have the opportunity for research and internships. Inspired by her mother who has worked for global companies and business students she has met from across the globe, Kayla is interested in a business marketing career with a global company. |
Anne Claire Myers is from Knoxville where she was her school’s volleyball team captain and chosen by district volleyball coaches to be on the all-district team and as Blocker of the Year. At the University of Tennessee Knoxville, Anne Claire will study Political Science. She is interested in learning about different political systems and international business. Anne Claire would like to go to law school and have a career in corporate law. She wants to be a part of a growing global business community. |
Yuji Steele is from Signal Mountain in Hamilton County. In high school, Yuji was Senior Class Treasurer. He brought back traditional school events after covid and started new school traditions.Yuji's mother is from Osaka, and she taught him to appreciate his Japanese heritage and American heritage. At the University of Tennessee Knoxville, he will study Biology. As a scientist who is interested in different cultures and with the ability to speak Japanese, he will work to bring diverse global communities together. |
