濱本清美さんとグレッグ・ハードマンさんは、長年にわたりナッシュビルさくらまつりの寛大なスポンサーをされています。 清美さんとグレッグさんは、清美さんのおばあさまをはじめとする今は亡き大切な家族を偲び、さくらまつりの支援を始められました。桜は自分の母国である日本を思い出させてくれる象徴であり、自分や多くの日本人の心の拠り所になっていると話されています。そこで、大切な人を偲びさくらまつりを支援するようになったそうです。 清美さんとグレッグさんはナッシュビルさくらまつりをいつも楽しみにされています。清美さんは「女声合唱さくら」のメンバーとして、さくらまつりに出演もされており、ご主人やお友達、日本人補習校の生徒さんも応援に駆けつけてくれています。 清美さんはパンデミックの直前に、16年以上の続けていた仕事を離職しましたが、引き続き土曜日には中部テネシー日本語補習校で教鞭を執られています。清美さんとグレッグさんはガーデニングにも興味を持ち、3年前に大好きな竹を裏庭に植えました。当初37本植えた竹は、今では1,000本以上になっているそうです。大叔母さまのご自宅に大きな竹林があったこともあり、清美さんにとっては、竹も大切な日本の思い出の一つです。 清美さんとグレッグさんのさくらまつりへのサポートに感謝いたします。ナッシュビルさくらまつりの再開時には、またお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。 |

地域の賃金と福利厚生の仕組みを記録するための共同プロジェクトが中部テネシー地区で進行中です。産業・製造業向けの仕事に関しての調査はMTSUのビジネス・経済研究センター（BERC）のMurat Arik博士によって実施されています。1月初旬には地域のパートナーが協力して1,600社以上の企業にダイレクトメールのパケットを送付しました。とりわけ、このパケットには、2月までに準備を始めることができるように、調査のガイドが含まれています。今後数週間は、LinkedInの調査に関する追加情報を含む投稿にご注目ください。
2021年産業賃金・給付金調査」は、6週間にわたって行われ、その後、晩春には参加者限定でデータが公開される予定です。以前の参加者からの建設的なフィードバックに基づいて構築された今年の調査は、MTSUによってよりユーザーフレンドリーに作り直されています。この調査結果は、人事管理者に中部テネシーの主要産業職種の報酬構造に関する明確な理解を提供するものとなります。
